RE: [cobalt-users] Re: Let's get this over with...shooting fromthe hip

My two bits here...

Jerry,

This is, even though unintentional, a distortion of the truth due to
ignorance of the facts. I've been on this list for at least six months
and am a reasonably active poster with significant IT/Internet knowledge.
I'm just not that good around Linux or Cobalt yet.

Kris (through acquaintance with each other's posts) is well aware of
my areas of expertise and ignorance and his message was written with
this in mind... *not* as a blanket condemnation of those who muse
over the thought of getting into hosting.

He also happens to be right: at this point, I most certainly do not
have the skills and funding necessary to run a successful hosting
company. (At least, certainly not in the USA.) No quotes, since these
are or would have been my words as well. I'm trying to learn as fast
as I can and I am contemplating this as a business I *hope* to get
into. But, again, Kris is right: it's better to think 1,000 times
and make sure that one can and should do something, that think it
over twice, jump in, lose money, and then reconsider.

Please ensure that you have the full background information available
to you before you judge a person this way. Your reasoning and
judgments were logical but wrong.
