Re: [cobalt-users] Pointing a Sub Domain To a directory

I've been following this thread for a while because I'm trying to find a
"good" solution for this too (and yes, I read 8 pages in the archives about
all kinds of stuff).

I'm coming from the programmer mentality (not necessarily a good thing in
this arena;-)....I want:
1 - Fast
2 - Flexible (I want the ability to offer limited URL Redirection to select
users)
3 - A file that lists all my redirections separately outside of httpd.conf.

I enabled wildcards (using an include file to pri.domain.com)...so, that I
can run a Perl script. It does run, but by THAT time, the host has changed
and it doesn't recognize it. I'm sure the httpd.conf edits will work (now
that my telnet client will let me get to them)....but that might be harder
to constantly maintain.

So, please don't get irritated at me for wanting to continue this
thread....I have seen several answers that are viable and work, but I am
also interested in finding a good combination for my particular situation.

Kel
