Been hacking on it.
If you add a line to the /etc/rc.d/rc.local which says
dhcpcd eth1
It will run a dhcp client on the secondary interface. The original ifup 
command they have on the qube has been hacked up so badly that it doesn't 
understand BOOTPROTO=dhcp anymore. Damn.
That's why you would have to invoke it yourself because the scripts 
supplied with the qube are very stripped down.

This seems to work OK for me.
However I don't feel any fear of changing anything. So my option is Biased ;-)
