I can offer a suggestion. Buy a Linksys 4 port cable/dsl router for $149.
Place it between the modem and Qube. Assign an IP to the secondary interface
connection and then on the router, set this IP in the DMZ (assuming you want
to host web sites, etc...and have the Qube accessible from the Internet)
Cable the secondary interface back to the router. The Linksys product will
handle the DHCP address and you won't have to worry about how the Qube
handles an incoming dhcp address. The router IP will be the gateway.
