[cobalt-users] Settings for email relaying

I have one remote user that needs to be able to send and receive email through our server. He will be travelling occasionally. Currently, he is able to receive email through the server, but cannot send -- he gets a relay error. He is using Earthlink as his ISP. I understand that I can set up the server to relay mail from Earthlink.net, but would prefer not to open things up quite so much. Is there a way to enable relaying for this one person? My worry is that at some point we'll hire someone who will want access through spamnet.com or some such.

Am I justified in not wanting to open relaying to a big ISP?

Another thing, the documents I found at Cobalt mention asking for a limited set of IP addresses to enable (rather than enabling an entire domain). Who do I contact for these addresses?
