Shouldn't that be "@hostname.domain.com"?
It looks so to me. Cedryc's english isn't perfect, but he's saying
"which do not exist" which to me implies that some will exist.

I'd create an alias for one user (personally I use the admin user for
the site) as "@hostname.domain.com". For example, if the site is
"www.jeff.com", I'd use "@www.jeff.com" as the alias (without the quotes
of course).
