I use UdmSearch.  http://search.mnogo.ru/  It might be more than you need
though.  It does indexing and searching and is very powerful and scales really
well.

UdmSearch isn't a no-brainer install, but the very nice indexer, highly
configurable search engine and front-end make it tops in my book.
