If you're not very experienced with Linux installs I'd recommend RPM installs.
Installing MySQL and PHP from source will allow you to have better control over
installation locations and options.  That's critical to me because I don't care
for the default setups, but it might not be for you.  I'm not aware of a
PHP4.0.1pl2 RPM for the RaQ2 on the Cobalt site so you may want to install that
from source to ensure that you have the latest version.  Cobalt sells an SSL
package for the RaQ2.  Osser Brosoft (http://www.brosoft.net/ssl/) and Unixpac
(http://qube.unixpac.com.au/) sell inexpensive SSL packages as well.
