I bought a Farallon 12 port 10bt snmp managed rack mountable hub with 
internal fan for $40 about 6 months ago from smalldog.com.  I'm using 
it just for back up incase our Bay Networks 100bt switch dies but I 
see no reason why it couldn't be used for what you're doing unless 
you NEED 100bt.

What I've heard about cheap hubs is that they have a tendency to 
overheat and stop working when used 24/7.
