boot the PC from the CD, and the restore should be done. I never did
this, but that's what the OS Restore CD manual says ;-)

we have done the restore a few times.......the only worry I have with the
restore CD.....tech support at cobalt quickly says...restore !!! restore!!
A few days ago we had some network troubles, and one box we coull not
reach..real funny others could reach it from other networks.....calling
cobalt...Support said they could get in..and after snooping around the
verdict was hacked on that machine.. leaving a directory at
/etc/named/ADMROCKS..... they used a bind 'hole' .... the latest security
patch from cobalt...should make it not that easy to get in.... AND we
had to restore QUICKLY
The clients have been able to get in for the past week, we cant use the
interface from our network, but we can with our cable modem ......
we never restored, changed passwd, but never restored, no matter what Cobalt
says..it seems there is a routing problem in the machine , but hell why spend
hrs restoring a machine, just because Cobalt says restore instead of tackling
the routing issue
we are not very good with their version of linux ( beng an HP shop), but hey
the machine is ticking and ticking...and we save the horror of a few hrs
restoring .........
