RE: [cobalt-users] email to not existing domain's user

List advice:

* Check the archives for solutions; you'd have gotten a quicker answer, since
this has been covered many times before.
* Please post in plain text format only; no HTML.

Problem advice:

* Usernames must be unique across the whole server, and
will receive all mail sent to that user *regardless* of what
  domain it's sent to.
* User_aliases, however, are specific to a domain.

* Suggestion: use email addresses (aliases) that are different
from your real usernames. So, change 'thefirst' username to
'dom1usr1' for example, and alias him to 'thefirst.' Also make
'dom2usr1' the username and 'thesecond' an alias for the
  other user.

* Now, mail will work properly.
