[cobalt-users] QUBE2: Qpopper
Okie dokie.. it's like driving me mad... Every once or twice an hour I get a
message from Root telling me that there has been an error retrieving mail
from the remote server (Demon Internet), yet when I look in the maillog
hiding in /var/log, I see hundreds upon hundreds of qpopper errors...
The error states that qpopper was unable to get the canonical name of client
192.168.42.x and there are *loads* of them. Basically we have about 40 pc's
connecting to the Qube2 every 2 mins to pick up mail, and an error is
generated for each connection made...
Is there *any* way of fiddling with the qpopper config files to turn this
"looking for the canonical name" bit off? or is it needed to function
correctly? Moreso, what would cause it to fail to find the canonical name?
I downloaded qpopper in a vain hope to find some documentation for config
swiches, but what documentation was there looked pretty nasty, and the rest
of the files were there as though what I downloaded needed compiling on the
target host :/
Anyone care to point me in the right direction for qpopper configs?
Many thanks in advance
