The key here isn't so much the power, but the flexibility. The archives
you make via the UI are still generated by tar (useful tidbit if you
ever need to restore and for some reason the UI is hosed) and actually
the scripts on the RaQ systems can be very handy, in fact I've been
looking to modify some selections for our RedHat boxes so as to make
them more 'robust' and require less of my personal time.
But understanding the underlying layers and how to issue commands from
the command line is still important.
