The difference is, that we never get to see the Raq3s as their hosted at
uk2.net's offices in London, we never get to see them :-(, and that people
that want to transfer their domain names from UK2.net to the Raq are having
problems. Also, there is next to no support from uk2 that isn't from the
cobalt pages (e.g. no email support, unless you pay for it, and then, I've
not met anyone who has paid for the support option). They've also been
set-up to use uk2's name servers, and nothing works until we tell the Raqs
not to use them and register our own.
The point of the site is, that everyone is in EXACTLY the same position.
almost everyone is a first time Raq3 owner, and has little or no experience
with setting up a dedicated webserver. And they're setting up 1000 (500 so
far done) Raq3s at Uk2, and so there's going to be a lot of people in the
same position.
I understand that people don't really want another site, but the trouble is
that you're going to get people asking exactly the same questions all the
time about uk2 specific problems, and this at least ought to help them get
their servers going.
