RE: [cobalt-users] How do you turn off directory browsing



In /etc/httpd/conf/srm.conf (or *.conf),
in each <Directory> tag that you want, put
"Options -Indexes"

Pardon a rather stupid (newbie) question, but what IS "directory browsing?" If I don't know what it is, how would I know whether or not I wanted it "on" or "off"?
