I spoke to one of our more expert list members who speculates: it's a server
problem because of the list member volume. With some mail stuck in the
queue, another process starts and some of the posts get re-posted at that
time. This server apparently can't handle the number of subscribers. Sounds
reasonable as, IIRC, the double posts seem to be more common at times of day
when there are more posts being made to the list.

Maybe when Cobalt updates the welcome email to point out the archive search,
they can fix the double post problem.
