As I'm the only person (as far as I know) who has mentioned "first language",
I'll assume that's a reference to my post.  I merely asked a question!

If the answer informs anybody else's opinion as well as my own, so be it.

In my experience the average .nl poster writes better English than 
the average .edu poster.

I'm no fan of spelling flames either, but is it really that hard to check 
that, for instance, your sentences start with capital letters?
