You may need to be root. There are several files you need to be logged in as
root to delete and modify.

In FTP i am trying to delete some files but it is giving me an "access
Denied" error.  So i went into telnet to try and chmod them but I am getting
an "operation not permitted"  then when I try to delete them (rm filename) I
get another "access denied error.

Any Help Would Be Apreciated
