RE: [cobalt-users] Problems with FrontPage Sub Webs

Chris,
I'm having similar problems with my Qube2 and front page, only it isn't
allowing me to set up subwebs. It tells me that the server isn't set up to
allow that, but I've checked and the Frontpage extentions are checked in the
Admin section of the GUI.

I'm not sure you are running on a Qube, so maybe we have different issues,
but if you get an answer to this, please share it with me.

Thanks

Subject: [cobalt-users] Problems with FrontPage Sub Webs

When I try to install a Front Page Web for a site user (a sub Web is what
I would call it ... ) it does not seem to be working properly.

This is what happens:

It installs what looks like all the appropriate directories (_vti's, etc.)

However when I try to access the sub Web I get error messages about post
not being allowed.

Then I tried accessing the parent Web ... the one for the entire domain ...
(that works) and when I click on the sub domain it asks me for a user name
and password ... which I provide ... after a little wait I get a message
saying there was an error ... with a press details box for more
information. I press the box and this is what I get:

Authorization Required405 Method Not Allowed
Authorization Required
This server could not verify that you are authorized to access the document
you requested. Either you supplied the wrong credentials (e.g. bad
password), or your browser does not understand how to supply the
credentials required.
Method Not Allowed The requested method POST is not allowed for the URL
/~gryc/_vti_bin/_vti_aut/author.exe.

does that make sense to anyone?

What can I do ...

Do I just have to some how enable post? How would I do that? Is that not
set by default?
