that`s right. i did it by linking logrotate from /etc/cron.monthly
instead of /etc/cron.daily, so there`s no need to mess around with
logrotate`s configuration (if one is happy with the defaults).

the comman would be :

in /etc/cron.monthly, enter

	ln -s path/to/logrotate logrotate

i did not think that it could be a newbie`s question, that doesn`t know
the consequences, as he asked only how to disable it. my fault.
