Thanks for the advice.  I got a copy of WS_FTP, and tried the CHMOD, but it
wouldn't work either.  However, I FTP'd in as the user for that directory,
instead of admin, and it let me delete the files.  The Qube has FrontPage
extentions enabled, so this may be the reason.  Thanks for your help!

BTW, any body who is running a Qube2 with FP extensions, if you would
contact me off list, I'd be interested in knowing anything you can share
about that, as I am going to have a few questions about setting up
subwebs/subdomains, etc.

your best bet, as a newbie, might be to use WS_FTP to ftp to your qube2 as
admin, then use the CHMOD abilities of WS_FTP to change the permissions...
or simply attempt deleting the files thru it.
