Did this work for you?  Before I reinstalled the old QPopper from source I
did delete all the lock files in /var/spool/mail/, but I never restarted any
services.  Are you talking about restarting the inetd daemon?  I'm not in
the habit of rebooting the server without a good reason and I don't want to
reload the package, restart inetd and then find I have to uninstall and
reload the old QPopper again unless someone tells me "yes, this will
definitely work on the RaQ2 if you do that".  At least not until I get a
case of insomnia and need to stay busy.
