I don't have a RaQ3, my mail server runs on the RedHat distribution
and with the default cf file, you don't have to re run m4, although
you can edit the files to define() it and re-run m4 which I suppose
is the 'recommended' way to edit your cf file.

You should be able to define the M macro with most cf files,
as for envelope masquerading, care to expand on what you want?
