Thanks for the help, all who responded. I called tech support and waited 90
minutes with no answer...and during that time I got it to work myself.
Here's what finally worked, in case anyone is interested:
Did a full install of RaQ1 software first, then when it told me to shutdown,
I did a Raq1-->RaQ2 destroy, and that worked fine. This got me thinking so
on the next box (yes, had to reinstall the OS on multiple boxes, FP
extensions really screwed up our servers) I tried just the straight
RaQ1-->RaQ2 Destroy, and that worked. I came to the conclusion that since
the box is originally a RaQ1 with the the RaQ2 OS update on it, that's what
needs to be done.
