In the /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf file, in the virtual site block for
"mysite.com", just comment out all the lines beginning with Rewrite.

Of course that'll have the side effect of completely disabling the
siteadmin and useradmin gui functions.  For me that's a fix, not a bug
<grin>.
