Unless you put a forward on the account, it is POP3 account whether it has an alias or not.
The issue is that without recompiling a different POP3 daemon (which of course would void
your warranty if you care). The current setup does not allow for more than one username per
box. Aliasing allows user1 to recieve email addressed to webmaster@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx and user2
to receive email addressed to webmaster@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I think you will confuse things if you add duplicate users to the virtuserstable. Unless
someone knows the consequences I wouldn't recommend this.

This issue has been discussed MANY MANY times and you can search the archives for posts by
Steven Werby and Jeff Lasman about how to setup user accounts for maximum usability.

I don't understand what the big deal is with logging in with some other username, anyway...
