[cobalt-users] Restablishing Telnet Services (RaQ3)

As many times as I've pulled info from this list and it has
helped me I thought I would share a solution to a problem I
had in restoring telnet services to a RaQ3.

History:
Telnet and FTP servers on one of our RAQ3's mysteriously
disappeared and would not restart via the GUI which was the
only access to the server we had.

Having called Cobalt Tech support they told me to look for
the inetd.conf file on the server and see if it had been
removed or corrupt in some way.  Not having telnet access to
the machine made this very difficult.

Solution:
I did a selective restore (GUI -> Maintenance -> Restore) of
the inetd.conf file on the server from an original backup
copy I had made when we first got that server.

Now Telnet and FTP are completely restored.
