[cobalt-users] RaQ2 combined-access logs

Anyone know why Cobalt elected to go the route they did
with the combined-access log on a RaQ2 and use a script
to essentially grep out for the virtual sites to append
those sections to the individual sites log files rather
than simply using the log definitions inside each
<VirtualSite xxx.xxx.xxx> block to point to a file within
their /home/sites/site#/Logs/ directory?
I understand how the log replicator works, I'm just wondering
why it was picked to begin with.
