RE: [cobalt-users] Perl/Sendmail problem?

We own the whole ip range...

I know it aint reversible.. I've been bitching to the IT director for ages
to goto our upstream so we can reverse.

It's only a new problem.... only since I upgraded to the OS 3

Ok, we already spoke to our upstream months ago about reversing our ip
range.. nothing was done.

We rang up this morning to complain to them because we figured it was the
reverse problem.

But I'm still unsure why the cgi would have a time set feature or something
for sendmail to reply about the mail its sending out.

Didn't add up in my mind.

Ok, so if I fix the reverse, I wont have that problem with sendmail, would
that fix the current problem with perl complaining that the server timed out
as it were?

Thanks for the help also Gerald, appreciate it allot.

gethostbyaddr() is failing. It takes 25 seconds (I think) for each
nameserver to
timeout.
And, that is why it is taking so long.
Whose IP's are those 213.117.93, Are those your IP's. If so there is
something
wrong with your Resolvers Reverse lookup.
The resolver is trying to find a name for the IP and can't. (Timesout!).
Is this a new problem?
I guess the main question is whose IP's?
