I have this problem myself.. .working it out.. and fearful of "the bat book"  (O'rielly's manual...)

standard line from cobalt is that if you dont' have OS3 update installed.. then they can't help you any further....
 
while watching this list I've heard some horror stories about doing the OS3 update... so you see the predicament... i'm holding off on the OS update until I'm sure I can fully recover from that possibly bitter pill...
