[cobalt-users] If I do ssl & fp2K apache, will it break the Qube2?

I paid for and downloaded the Qube2-SSL package. Part of its installation is
to reinstall the Apache server. I would like to have the Apache Frontpage 2000
extension patch installed as well. I am thinking about creating an rpm (if I
can find the ssl module) and creating a rpm that contains the Apache-FP2K
extension patch? I would use it as a replacement for the Apache rpm in the
Cobalt-SSL package.

What I had in mind was something similar to that found at
ftp://ftp.tuwien.ac.at/linux/redhat.com/contrib/libc6/i386/ (also in ther ftp
redhat mirrors)

which contains

03/19/2000 05:40PM 1,518,189
apache-mod_ssl-fp2000-1.3.12.2.6.2-0.6.0.i386.rpm
03/19/2000 05:46PM 104,922
apache-mod_ssl-fp2000-devel-1.3.12.2.6.2-0.6.0.i386.rpm

These are compiled packages for frontpage2000 server extension kit for linux
with apache and mod_ssl on an i386. I would like to have the same thing with
the Qube2 SSL package I purchased so that both ssl and fp2000 mods are turned
on.

I found some sources at

 ftp://ftp.joshie.com/pub/josh_rpms/Apache-Frontpage2000-SSL/SRPMS/

so I guess I could just compile everything my self. However, I paid $100 for
the Cobalt ssl package, so it might be nice if I could use it. All I want to
do is enable the apache fp2000 extensions to use apache-fp rather than apache
along with ssl.

I requested a price quote from professional services to put me together a pkg
containing both and received the following reply:

"I can look at these, but I am almost positive that these are not compatible
with our FP extensions, I can test and try to install this, but we charge $200
an hour, and honestly I think it will take a long time trying to integrate the
different extensions. Our extensions were written expressly for cobalt, and
the way cobalt machines work. If you would like me to start work on this I
can, I can call you and get your credit card, or you can send it in a reply
email."

Does anyone know of any reason I cannot recompile Apache with the ssl and
fp2000 extension modules on a Qube2?

Thanks.
