Re: [cobalt-users] Permission denied

You would have to Telnet in an su to root

FTP for root should be left disabled

You could ftp the new file in as a differant name and then cp newfile httpd.conf

To change permissions its chmod

But be careful when changing those permissiosn as you may open your server up

Hi,

I've just got my new RAQ3 and I tried to edit the httpd.conf file
by uploading a new version of the file through ftp but I got a
permission denied error message.

Is this the default set up of RAQ3? How could I change the
permissions as a super user?

Thanks.
