HTML increases the size of the email by about 2.5.

HTML cannot be read in lots of clients.

HTML enables you to post in 9 pt yellow, which I can't read.

If you want me to read your email, make it attractive to me.

To be attractive to me it's gotta be plaintext.

If you don't want me to read it, then don't bother sending it to me.

Simple.
