I agree that _many_ commercial solutions (and certainly most "free"
solutions require you use the provider's name-server name.
We offer several options. We're willing to host all your dns at various
nameservers at "ns-one.net". We're also willing to let you host your
nameserver at ns1.yourdomain.com and have us your nameserver at
ns2.yourdomain.com.
Yes, there are charges for this sort of thing. But they're not
unreasonable. Write me offlist if you're interested.
