Avi,

I was wondering why you use AOL. But if you remember correctly, about a
week ago you complained that AOL doesn't email attachments properly some
times.

Email isn't rocket science. Netscape's email browser is extremely easy to
use, yet still is accessible for power users. I don't find anything
difficult about it, and frankly I can't see how it can get much easier.

And incidentally I use a Linux machine at home as well as work. I have a
Mac and Linux box here at work and a Windows 2000 and Linux Machine at home.

I use the Mac as my primary email machine, because OE5 for Mac is
astronomically better than any other email client out there (for the time
being).

However, I do agree with you that people on this list tend to use Windows on
their client machines. I think that is because many of the people on this
list are not Linux user's per se, but Linux 'Server Appliance' users. For
many Cobalt is their first hands-on with Linux.

Slightly (completely) OT:
I would like to see more people use Linux on *new* client hardware. A lot
of people yammer about reviving an old 386 and putting Linux on it and now
Linux is so great, blah, blah. But the way to see Linux really shine is on
brand spanking new equipment--top of the line. I wish more people would
commit to using Linux on the desktop as you suggest. Honestly there are
very few people who *have* to run windows. Most of us use email, web
browsing, and office applications--all of which are readily available and
easy to use on Linux. What is everyone waiting for?
