[cobalt-users] PC & Raq 3(i)

Can I ask if it is worth buying an old pc and simulating software
installations and trials as a test before I install the exact software on a
raq 3. I was told that the raq 3 (i) uses a socket 7 chip.

I would look to install the same type of OS as the raq and would like to
know whether the CD rom that reinstalls a broken raq wouls work on a pc, if
1) the same version of linux was installed iniatilly 2) the same apcahe
software was installed iniatially. Has anyone tried to install this
combination on an old pentinium/x86 computer before.
