[cobalt-users] AIDE (Advanced Intrusion Detection Environment): Used? Recommend?

Has anyone used AIDE (Advanced Intrusion Detection Environment)?  Its homepage
(http://www.cs.tut.fi/~rammer/aide.html) claims "AIDE (Advanced Intrusion Detection
Environment) is a free replacement for Tripwire. It does the same things as the
semi-free Tripwire and more."

Since there was a recent (and long) thread covering server security issues and
Tripwire I thought it might be of interest.  I'd like to give it a testdrive on my
RaQ2, but I'd like some feedback from the security gurus before I spend the time.
