[cobalt-users] Host and Domain Names

Greetings,

I would like to be able to set up a "virtual" web site without using a 
domain name and host name.  I want to only access it by IP address.

The interface does not seem to allow me to do that.  I have left these 
fields (domain and host name) blank and ended up with error messages.

Why would I want to do this? Well, I am testing some software packages that 
allow me to start up using my IP address, but then resolve out to the 
domain name (that does not exist) and I end up getting 404 not found 
errors.  So, somewhere along the line, these programs are "figuring out" 
that xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx equals. www.mycompany.com and it looks to the domain 
name instead of the IP.

Does anyone have any ideas?
