Hi Frank,
If you are going to hand edit the zone file for the parent,
you most certainly can use an A record to run them all off one zone
file. However, you can do them (subdomains) in seperate zone files
just like regular domains. I personally think there's an advantage
to running them seperate though. Running seperate zone files means
that if technopervert gets a hold of one of them they don't have a
full map of the zone. That's good from a security perspective. Thus
I recomend using the GUI and just letting it do it's thing.
