Hi Sean,
You're absolutely right about the best consumer being an
informed consummer. Worse yet, perhaps, the last paragraph of your
message details everything which is important when considering a
hosting service.
And therein lies the point that I was trying to make. The
size of the connection does not matter when push comes to
shove. Service, support and the like are what is important.
I'll also apologize as seeing that claim on AIT site really
shook me up. Over the years I've read many great things about them
and, well, while I can't say that I'm trying to be like them there
were one of the few hosting companies that had my full and complete
respect. This was the first time I had ever visited their web site,
till seeing the post that prompted this threat the only things I
knew about AIT were what I've read in the trade journals - and
never once did I see a claim in any of those news releases and
articles that prompted me to check the validity of the claim.
I know AIT to be a well run and well managed company. While
I firmly believe that OC-192 claim is well beneath that which they
have long stood for, one really can't blame them for doing what
pretty near everyone else is...
Peace be with you,
Brent
