Well, Jeff, in the years that I've been reading your mail on
the various lists we frequent I've never known you to make any
invalid claims. There's always an exception to the rule and you're
the exception to this one.
} And how many of us can afford to be connected that well?
Not me, but then I'm not claiming ownership of someone
else's NOC, equipment and/or connectivity that I don't actually
have. Either are you.

This is totally unsatisfactory, but I'm willing to defer
judgment until after you get around to doing something with the
nobaloney.net web site other than making empty promises of the
marvels to come :-)

Integrity is harder to find than knowledgeable support is. My
personal pet peeve is those who claim to posses facilities and
connectivity that they don't have and I tend to get more than a bit
tight in this particular arena. I don't, however, see absolutely
any reason whatsoever to apologize for pointing out that which
anyone can find out with a few simple and freely available tools:
Catalog.Com, based upon where the Catalog.Com domain sits,
is nothing more than a bigger, fancier and more experienced version
of the people on this list who are struggling to learn the ropes of
their Cube or RaQ.
The hidden message there is that you too can do it. Buying
is not nearly as profitable and no where near as fun as selling is.
Now, I happen to know exactly where your facility is Jeff
and I believe you know exactly where my facility is (we live in
a business zoned duplex and my NOC is what used to be the living
room for the East unit) Then again, according to an analysis of
your connectivity that I just completed, you have more bandwidth
available than I do and more than many of those who claim to have
redundant OC-whatevers when they're hustling business on the web
hosting lists - a whole T3 that isn't throttled and, worse yet
perhaps, it isn't even saturated.
I suspect the level of service you provide to your clients
is almost as good as that which we provide :-)
So then, why the ____ are we arguing?
Peace be with you,
Brent
