The Cobalt GUI cuts out 90% of the crap necessary to administer a Linux
server. Most people never need to delve into the last 10%.
The problem is that you still need to be knowledgeable about internet
technologies and familiar with how mail, ftp, web servers (apache
specifically), dns, and TCP/IP works. If you have run web, email, dns
hosting on NT or any other system it is a pretty easy jump to a Cobalt
server.
However, if you are not familiar with all of the underlying technologies,
you will be frustrated--just as if you were trying to set up a IIS server
(although IMHO the Cobalt would be easier even then). So it is easy to set
up out of the box, but to use a metaphor of a previous thread, a Cesna is a
fine airplane, but you've still got to know how to fly to make any use of
it.
If you are looking at hosting just your company's stuff, the Qube2 may be
more what you are looking for (depending on the size of the company).
