Re: [cobalt-users] FTP and FXP

Hello
Just tried with AbsoluteFtp and nope, doesn't work, the connection get lost as soon as you try to do it. The guy making FlashFXP does explain how to configure the WU-Ftp server (http://flashfxp.phix-it.com/wuftpd.html), and I am looking for the equivalent for ProFTP. The fact that you are logged onto ftp.domain1.com and onto ftp.domain2.com (with a logon/passwd for each) doen't mean ftp.domain1.com allows ftp.domain2.com to do FTP requests. Most of the ISP's do restricts rights to people dialing-up on their domain. I agree though that a solution is to telnet anf ftp from a server if you are ok to give up your nice client GUI. The FlashFXP client even has a mode to fake FXP that works under some conditions..
Thanks for the answers.
