The 'b' at the beginning of the line means the raq thinks this is a block
device (ie a hard drive) , yer not gonna fix this with chmod, i'd guess
your filesystem is corrupt or has been hacked, look in /var/log/
start with 'secure' and see if someone loggen in, but look at the end of
messages and see if the machine was complaining about hardware errors and
such also
think about backing up what files you can , if it's really a
corrupt filesystem, the raq may not reboot without help....
(if it does reboot, it *might* fix it when it does the filesystem check,
if it does home should end up in lost+found, don't count on it tho)
If your desperate, there's a filesystem block editor, but you need some
serious low level expertise to use it to fix something like this...
