Hey Ariel,

I realize that the speed you're experiencing is not everywhere the same.
This is something natural and it was not the point of my post.

What I was saying is that how DNS information propagates (and the time it
needs) has nothing to do with the speed or type of connection -- and I was
also pointing out that most hardware is of the same (well, almost!) quality,
regardless whether you're in China, the United States, Somalia, or
whereever.

The speed issue you were mentioning is the business of the providers -- if
you only have one single provider in your country, you're not necessarily
outa luck, but chances are this provider does not worry too much about his
clients (=about the quality and reliability of service), as they do not have
an alternative.

You will find good and bad providers everywhere [ anyone wants to start
webhoststhatsuck.com with me?? :) ] -- in Iowa, UK, or whereever. They (and
their upstream(s)) are responsible for your connection's reliability and
speed...., etc.

So, it might be doubtful that you get the same speed and uptime in Somalia,
but I'm quite sure that my new DNS entries will "be" in Somalia with the
same speed as they will "be" in Australia, or Japan, or Chile, or wherever.
