[cobalt-users] Qube 2 Dial on Demand

I have a problem in getting the Dial on demand to work properly as the modem
does not dial or hang up properly without user intervention. I see that
other users have raised this question before, but I have not seen any
solutions - or maybe i did not know where to look.
The only way to get the modem to hang up is to switch of the modem.
Although it dials up to retrieve e-mail from our ISP every 30 mins, it does
not dial when we try to access the internet. Unless it is online at the
moment we have to go to the administrator site under Network/Modem settings
and save the changes to reset the connection.
The Qube is on the LAN and Internet access is via Internet Explorer from
workstations on the LAN (running NT) using the Qube as a gateway to our ISP.
Any help would be most welcome. The situation is frustrating to say the
least. We are using an external US Robotics 56K modem connected to the
serial port of the Qube.
