I'm not sure where the problems come from. On my RAQ2 I simply add a domain,
check "Accept EMail for Domain" in the site settings. Set up the proper DNS
for the domain with A records and an MX record and I'm off to the races.
I *never* have added any domain or address to the "Receive email addressed
to these hosts/domains" or the "Relay email from these hosts/domains"
lists, (I may have to in the future for a domain not set up in the GUI),
although, I've added plenty to the "Block email from these
users/hosts/domains" to stop spam.

okay
even though its not dns....
I notice the largest problem or most asked question is, "I can receive or
send mail from domain blar.com....." usually this is because they havent
set up the address in the relay field...
the big isssue is most people dont want to block potential email that they
will receive...but they dont want to be open for attacks either...
doh...now we have a catch22 best course??
has anyone considered getting ahold of a utility to monitor and log all
incoming and outgoing email relays, and if it sees 400 emails coming in in x
amount of time it flags it and blocks it??
note the beautifull laymans terms there, never was a technical
writer...anywho this question came up in my head the other day after
watching email traffic on a friends network shoot up :::well we found the
problem...god I hate spammers::: so I've got a simple enough answer
any body know of a good utility?
