You can have subwebs, you just can't create them with FP, you use the Cobalt
admin screen and add a user to that web, click "enable FP user web" and the
subweb is created.  It will be named with a ~ in front of the username.
Then you will see the subweb when you open the site in FP and be able to
edit it.
I ftp all the time, and use FP.  However I only need to ftp scripts and such
that I don't want in my FP web, also FP2000 allows ftp from within FP.

Frontpage is great for newbies - everything is so simple - the HTML comes up
in
lovely pretty colours so it's easy to check, the forms are so easy to use,
etc..  But
then when you get to the point that you need to do something a little more
complicated, you find out that you're buggered, and have to learn how to use
Dreamweaver from scratch.  Even worse is the fact that you can't use subwebs
on
RaQ3s, and you can't use Cute FTP
