Are both ns.domain.net and www.domain.net using the same IP#?

Do you have an A record for ns.domain.net?

Do you have an A record for domain.net?

What is the host name for the system?

Easy, just don't have a site setup for ns.domain.net; you don't need
one. All you need is that one site on the system is located at IP# for
which you've registered ns.domain.net with your registrar. It can be
www.someotherdomain.net.
