Same problem here, he can't send to AOL via the smtp server.... but when I 
send mail via the smtp server it arrives perfectly.  I couldn't figure it 
out, although I knew one of the backbones was down (qwest and sprintlink) 
where down about a week ago.  Could be with them.  Has it fixed for him yet?

I know other mail was being delayed almost an hour to other servers, and FTP 
was down when those two backbones went.
